Back Then 03:31
You and me are a different breed who cut our teeth on the same 6 strings. Another week another basement show Breaking glass on dead end roads. We were young and dumb and a little fucked up back then Chasing girls from private schools, sneaking into swimming pools Rode our bikes all over town and cops would always chase us down We were young and dumb and a little fucked up back then But I wouldn't change a thing Yeah we were young we burned it down But the fire smoked us out You were gone when I turned around Nothing left for us to do now. And time it always wins And good things always end Now that it came and went Everything was better back then Headed west for the very first time and the van broke down a million times Didn't know where we'd sleep at night  It was the best time of our lives We were young and dumb and a little fucked up back then But I wish I could do it again If it's a long way up, then it's a long way down.

I guess you've seen it all All the darkness and the light I'm just a criminal  Trying to steal some of your time Maybe the thrill is gone And the magic has died Here I am holding on For one more ride Where do you go? When the walls close in on you How do you know? That the world is done with you I was golden for a moment But I lost it now I'm broken Where do you go? How do you know? Watch all the smiles fade Watch the sky turn blue to grey It's hard to get away With one foot stuck in the grave Feels like a huricane Came and ripped us all apart I don't feel anything In the dark. Where do you go? When the walls close in on you How do you know? That the world is done with you I was golden for a moment But I lost it now I'm broken Where do you go? How do you know? Don't waste your time looking for secrets at the bottom of the ocean Just keep your hands moving As you try to fight through it.

Honestly you don't want the truth Cause it might kill me To tell you what I've been going through I lost control When I sold my soul to rock and roll I came so close Now I'm further than I was before I got lost on the way home But I found piece of mind Coming out of the stereo And I knew that I'd be fine As I stared out the window  And saw the world flying by I got lost on the way home But I'm fine Promise me you wont turn back And don't follow me Cause I don't know where I'm heading yet Full speed ahead And I couldn't stop if I wanted to Until I'm dead I'll do exactly what I want to do   I got lost on the way home But I found piece of mind Coming out of the stereo And I knew that I'd be fine As I stared out the window  And saw the world flying by I got lost on the way home But I'm fine I'll let go if you want me to.

Locked me in a room Left me in the corner  Block out my view and weigh down on my shoulders All of the words hit me at once All of the world would never be enough I always knew that it can't last forever But what do you do when you finally surrender  And see that you gotta leave The only place that you wanna be I'm gonna miss the way it rains Yeah who'll catch you when you come down? Who will be watching when the lights go out? No doesn't matter where you're going now  It doesn't matter Traveled down the road  Saw both the coasts No one was there so I just went home And did you get what you want from me? Was it enough to take everything
I'm gonna miss the way it rains Yeah who'll catch you when you come down Who will be watching when the lights go out No doesn't matter where you're going now  It doesn't matter
When it all comes to an end Can't say we can try again.

Graveyard 03:19
I came here looking for a ghost But found out I was only chasing smoke I lost you somewhere long ago Like a song I’ve heard but don't know how it goes You're laid to rest under the overpass We hardly knew ya Just hold your breath through the graveyard Above our heads are the same stars I'm not trying to be your savior So just hold your breath through the graveyard Paid all my respects to you and yours Then the sun went down and the world kept moving on You're laid to rest under the overpass We hardly knew ya Just hold your breath through the graveyard Above our heads are the same stars I'm not trying to be your savior So just hold your breath through the graveyard I'll go quietly into the night Hold on tightly and say goodbye.

How Are You 03:35
Found a picture of you today Got me thinking about  How, How are you doing now? Well me I've been ok Had a lot of rain on my parade But how are you How are you doing now? That everyone got their way I heard you made your great escape Where are you going now Aint it funny how fast it changed Built a castle just to keep me away But I know you If you wanted me to come back home You never would have locked the door Spin it back pointing fingers saying who shot first I tried to runaway but I burned up in the center of the universe When I lost you.
7.
Watched all of my dreams all come true for someone else Took a backseat took a backhand  But at least I know myself Every story has an ending Every chapter has a close It might not be the one I want But that's the way it goes I should have been I should have been I should have been better than I am It's been so many years since you haven't been around If you could see me now Well I hope I made you proud I gave up everything I had But never gave up hope I'll take this fucking pain in me and turn into gold I should have been I should have been I should have been better than I am.

I feel the pull from the undertow As it drags me out to sea Can you still picture me at 17  Before life took its toll All my dreams and big ideas they won’t change anything Yeah we watched it all fly by The best things we've forgotten  Flashed before my eyes Faster than a bottle rocket I know how hard you tried I'm only being honest You burned up way too bright Faster than a bottle rocket The songs you know from the radio That can take you back in time What I'll miss the most you would never know For a second the world was mine All my dreams and big ideas they wont change anything I'm just looking for a souvenir
Yeah we watched it all fly by The best things we've forgotten  Flashed before my eyes Faster than a bottle rocket I know how hard you tried I'm only being honest You burned up way too bright Faster than a bottle rocket When I go don't you worry anymore.

Hang on go slow Same spot as before Old hands new clothes Not scared anymore Chin up move on Take me back where i belong Head first crash course Not scared anymore Like a chemical I feel it burning in my blood It's a miracle I can even get back up I'll turn all my pain into a hand grenade  Like a chemical  I feel it burning in my blood Break free leave home I don't care where we go Free fall no rope Not scared anymore Like a chemical I feel it burning in my blood It's a miracle I can even get back up I'll turn all my pain into a hand grenade  Like a chemical  I feel it burning in my blood.

Paradise 03:03
I got caught with the smoking gun I'm not as smart as I thought I was I'm not as young as I used to be But there's some fire still burning in me Every lesson I learned from you  Every record that got me through Made me who I am today Where we end up nobody really knows I'll keep running till my heart explodes Cause I know it's gotta get better Sick of making these apologies Sick of living life down on my knees Cause I know it's gotta get better Hold on to what you have  Cause when you go you wont get it back On the outside all along When all you wanted was just to belong Every misstep and broken bone Every time someone told me no Made me who I am today In another life I’ll find paradise.

I need a little bit a little more Just enough to get me up off the floor I pushed my confidence out the door Cause I don't need it anymore Remember being innocent and just a kid Maybe for a minute I could go back again And take a look at where I've been And where I won't be again. If I knew then If I knew then If I knew then what I do now
Maybe everything wouldn't be so bad Found the polaroids you used to love All the old guitars and cameras Hung the pictures up down the hall That I can't walk down anymore I'll see you in a little bit a little more You always said that life's too short To ever give a fuck what they say Just go on your way
If I knew then If I knew then If I knew then what I do now
Maybe everything wouldn't be so bad Can you hear me at all Out on the otherside I remember it all It's what keeps me alive (If i knew then, this all that I get If i knew then everything has to end).
