Locked me in a room
Left me in the corner
Block out my view and weigh down on my shoulders
All of the words hit me at once
All of the world would never be enough
I always knew that it can't last forever
But what do you do when you finally surrender
And see that you gotta leave
The only place that you wanna be
I'm gonna miss the way it rains
Yeah who'll catch you when you come down?
Who will be watching when the lights go out?
No doesn't matter where you're going now
It doesn't matter
Traveled down the road
Saw both the coasts
No one was there so I just went home
And did you get what you want from me?
Was it enough to take everything
I'm gonna miss the way it rains
Yeah who'll catch you when you come down
Who will be watching when the lights go out
No doesn't matter where you're going now
It doesn't matter
When it all comes to an end
Can't say we can try again.

viscerally affected by covid, this album has a less optimistic but more accepting message than the previous. it reaches the heart of my experience (and others'?) in a cathartic and depressing acknowledgement. it's nice to know you feel the same niq
Girl and Her Bad Mood are a dreampop band from Indonesia who excel at nestling heartbreakingly beautiful melodies amidst silvery guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2023

This is what I remember emo and pop punk music *sounding* like in the 90s and 2000s, but not what it actually sounded like. basking in the glow is an emotionally mature update of those times, and much appreciated. thepirc
