Honestly you don't want the truth
Cause it might kill me
To tell you what I've been going through
I lost control
When I sold my soul to rock and roll
I came so close
Now I'm further than I was before
I got lost on the way home
But I found piece of mind
Coming out of the stereo
And I knew that I'd be fine
As I stared out the window
And saw the world flying by
I got lost on the way home
But I'm fine
Promise me you wont turn back
And don't follow me
Cause I don't know where I'm heading yet
Full speed ahead
And I couldn't stop if I wanted to
Until I'm dead
I'll do exactly what I want to do
I got lost on the way home
But I found piece of mind
Coming out of the stereo
And I knew that I'd be fine
As I stared out the window
And saw the world flying by
I got lost on the way home
But I'm fine
I'll let go if you want me to.

viscerally affected by covid, this album has a less optimistic but more accepting message than the previous. it reaches the heart of my experience (and others'?) in a cathartic and depressing acknowledgement. it's nice to know you feel the same niq
Girl and Her Bad Mood are a dreampop band from Indonesia who excel at nestling heartbreakingly beautiful melodies amidst silvery guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2023

This is what I remember emo and pop punk music *sounding* like in the 90s and 2000s, but not what it actually sounded like. basking in the glow is an emotionally mature update of those times, and much appreciated. thepirc
